Interoperability

Connected to the systems dentistry runs on.

KYT OS integrates healthcare transactions and external services directly into everyday clinical and administrative workflows. External data becomes part of the operating workflow rather than separate manual work.

Architectural principle

Every external transaction is a first-class part of a workflow.

The value of integration is not that KYT OS has APIs. It is that external transactions arrive inside the operational surface where the work actually happens.

  1. 1
    External service

Payer, listing service, communication provider, or partner system.

  2. 2
    KYT integration layer

Transactions are normalized, validated, and attached to the correct patient and workflow.

  3. 3
    KYT OS workflow

The transaction shows up as part of an existing operational or clinical workflow, not a separate queue.

  4. 4
    Authorized staff

Only staff with the right role and device see the resulting record. All actions are auditable.

Live integrations

What is connected today.

Each capability below is a working, in-production integration used by KYT Dental Services.

Real-time insurance eligibility

270 / 271

Eligibility checks against payer systems return coverage, deductible, remaining benefits, and network status in real time. Responses are cached against the patient's profile so the same information is available across the platform.

Electronic dental claim submission

837D

Claims are assembled from the completed clinical record and submitted electronically in the standard dental claim format. A structured snapshot of the record used to produce each claim is retained.

Electronic remittance advice processing

835

Remittance advice from payers is ingested automatically. Adjudicated amounts, adjustments, and denial reasons are applied to the correct claim and posted to the ledger.

Web booking intake

Booking requests submitted from the practice's public site arrive as intake records. Delivery is retried on failure so a legitimate booking is never silently lost.

Third-party booking and calendar integration

Inbound bookings from a supported third-party listing service are ingested into the intake workflow with the patient's identifying and coverage information carried into the record.

Patient communication

Outbound and inbound patient messages, including SMS and email, are handled through managed communication providers and preserved as a threaded conversation on the patient record.

Standards

Industry-standard transaction formats.

Where standardized transaction formats exist for dental workflows, KYT OS uses them. Eligibility, claim submission, and remittance processing follow the transaction formats used across the U.S. dental payer ecosystem.

Additional transaction types will be listed here only after they are in production use.

Integration as an operational property.

The result is that eligibility, claims, remittance, bookings, and patient communication stop being separate systems requiring separate handling. They become an operational property of the platform.
